Thank you for stopping by my new website and this opportunity to share my vision for San Diego - and learn about yours.
I strongly believe that if we want to continue reforming our city government, we need to change our City Attorney.
If you care about creating a stronger economy, elect a City Attorney who will fight for jobs, not fight against his own client, our city.
If you care about bringing fiscal sanity back to San Diego, elect a City Attorney with a proven track record of reform, not a proven history of petty politics.
If you care about protecting our environment, elect a City Attorney who will fight polluters, not fight for the sake of fighting.
If you care about safeguarding our families, elect a City Attorney who will use the power of the office to address quality of life crimes and protect our families from fraud and abuse - not to further his own political agenda.
On all of the important issues, San Diego will work better with a new City Attorney. And I believe I am the best candidate for the job.
I fought successfully to bring sound management back to San Diego and helped build our new, reform system of government.
I spent 15 years in environmental law in the private sector, and five years as a supervising attorney at the Office of the County Counsel, a model of efficiency and talent for a public law office.
I have always fought for gender equality, choice, diversity and equal opportunity - including gender equity in appointments to boards and commissions.
I don't just preach these values, I live them. Eight of my ten City Council staff members are women - and women hold the top tier positions: chief of staff, director of communications and director of scheduling.
I am asking you to join our growing coalition - from the San Diego Firefighters and the San Diego-Imperial Counties Labor Council, to leaders like Senators Dede Alpert and Christine Kehoe and Council Members Toni Atkins and Ben Hueso - and our campaign to bring trust, professionalism and integrity back to the City Attorney's office.
Thanks again for stopping by, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

I watch the council meetings on TV. Things seem to get really hot up there sometimes especially when Aguirre is baiting the Council with his latest political jab. Without your cool head and calm demeanor, I don’t know how anything would get done. If anyone can get the City Attorney’s office back on track, it’s you.
