San Diego - With only five days remaining before Election Day, Council President Scott Peters and dozens of supporters rallied in front of the City Attorney offices today to remind San Diegans to Get Out and Vote for Scott on June 3. 75 people gathered to show their support, and speak out about why they think Peters is the best qualified to restore Ethics, Integrity, Professionalism and Competence to the City Attorney's Office.
"I've asked people for their time, resources and enthusiasm in support of my campaign," Peters said. "And I'm very proud and honored by the number and diversity of San Diegans have stepped forward to help. But I'm going to ask one thing more; in this election, every vote will make a difference. So go to the polls." he said.
Speakers at the rally included:
Frank De Clerq, Board Member, San Diego Fire Fighters Association
Chris Brewster, former San Diego City Lifeguard Chief and clean water advocate
Lee Burdick, attorney, former candidate for San Diego City Attorney
Pam Wagner, attorney, Luce Forward, et. al., and District 1 resident
"Scott Peters' record of success has earned him the support - and the respect -- of the San Diego City Firefighters," said De Clerq. "He will bring professionalism back to the City Attorney's office, and that means the City Attorney's office can get back to business and back on budget."
"Scott Peters IS Public Safety's Choice for City Attorney on June 3rd," he said.
